More golf

The last couple of days Morten has been in Dubai working with Norwegian Golf magazine. This is a photo from today, at Butch Harmon golf academy, when we shooting video of the Norwegian LPGA-player Marianne Skarpnord. In the picture, editor of the magazine Tom Erik, the Canon 5D MK2 camera with a 80-200 lens, Marianne and her manager Ole, also a very good photo assistant! The work in Dubai continues this week.

In the changing room…

Today has been a scouting day for spots where we are going to photograph tomorrow. The place is David Leadbetters Golf Academy in Orlando, and in the mens changing room this is some of the famous names that met us. Fun if you´re a golfer, if not I think that you should know the names anyway :-)

Packing the gear

This is how it looks when the gear is packed to a minimum of what´s required on the golf-trips to Florida and Dubai. A roller-bag to carry on the plane, an extra backpack is going together and inside the case (not shown) with clothes and toothbrush, reflectors and a bag for the tripods. It´s important to make it simple, even if it not looks that way. Ready to go!

UP

Morten has photographed for UP/Utrykningspolitiet and the magazine is now ready. Allegro Larvik did the magazine design and was running the project for UP. The magazine shows the Police´ strategy for the next 3 years, well documented in articles and illustrations, telling about their tasks, challenges, investments and effort measures.

On tour

In the following weeks we are going to work with a new client, Norsk Golf. Morten is going to photograph Norwegian golf profiles who play on the LPGA tour at locations in Orlando, Florida and after that in Dubai. Maybe his own handicap will be improved, watching the professionals close on, they know how to do it! The photographs shown here is from the beauty in Orlando; Arnold Palmer´s Bay Hill and from Emirates Golf Club in Dubai, voted as 1 of the Top 100 golf courses outside the US by Golf Digest in 2009.

Clients request

The words under belongs to a client that needed a photographer, I bet this project never was finished :-)

“In reference to a photo shoot of a client’s new office building…

Client: We love our new building and we thought it would be great to have pictures of it in all four seasons from the exact same angle.

Photographer: That sounds like a really cool project.

Client: Great! So what are the chances having those ready for our convention next month?”

Tallest 2

I wrote a post earlier about the visit to Dubai in UAE for Jotun, showing an image taken from the Metro, of the worlds tallest building; Burj Dubai. Today is the grand opening of the building where a hotel, offices and apartments are going to take place. Here is another image.

CNN has a nice article here that shows comparison of the worlds tallest buildings; http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/meast/01/04/dubai.burj/index.html?iref=allsearch

Help-portrait taken

Today I have given something back. I took portraits of two people in the studio, the files is already sent to the lab and hopefully they will get their pictures before Christmas. It was an interesting day, in the way to get to know these people and to hear their stories, and to see their wonderful smile. Today was a happy day for them, unfortunately their days is not always like this, their story is their own. Enough said. Thank you both!

Help-portrait is a success over the world, with over 7000 photographers that have registered their participation. Read more about this here; http://www.help-portrait.com/#/news/52
